It’s time to take a gander at the weekend action at GGPoker as well as a snifter at the Stadium Series action over at PokerStars.

We begin at the grand racecourse of GGPoker, and all binoculars were on Stephen Chidwick, who won two events ($5k and $10k) and also finished runner-up in a $10k (those $10k events were Short-Deck events).

Chidwick wasn’t the only star sitting under the $10k parasols who bagged a brace, Isaac Haxton booked two wins in $10k Short Deck events to add to his considerable reputation at the highest stakes.

Seth Davies picked up a win and a second in $10k events, and Sam Greenwood earned a win, second and third. Sergi Reixach played the bridesmaid role with three runner-up finishes across the $10k Short Deck games.

Here are those results in full.

Lex Veldhuis Wins a PokerStars Stadium Series Title

Triton commentator and broadcaster, Lex Veldhuis, reminded everyone of his silky skills at the poker table after taking down the 243-entrant $2,100 No Limit Hold’em event during the Stadium Series on PokerStars.

Final table incumbents moored their yachts, not parked bikes, to participate in this one. Mike ‘SirWatts’ Watson (2nd), Ivan ‘Negriin’ Luca (5th), Pablo ‘pabritz’ Brito Silva (6th), and Aliaksei “ale6ka” Boika (7th) squeezed into the elevator with he Twitch phenom. ‘MiracleQ’ finished ninth. In Aug he competed in a $1m Spin & Go, finishing second for $100k).

Veldhuis enchanted more than 26,000 people while bagging a personal-best $96,143.60, beating his previous best score of $91,695 after finishing runner-up to ‘GODofHU’ in a $2,100 No Limit Hold’em during the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) in September.

As Veldhuis inches closer to his first six-figure online score Triton may have to go looking for his replacement if he keeps this up.

In other Stadium Series results, the former PocketFives World #1, Michael ‘munchenHB’ Telker, took down the $530, $1m GTD No Limit Hold’em for $157,004. The former Super Tuesday winner, Alisson ‘heyalisson’ Piekazewicz conquered a field of 1,347 entrants in a $1,050 No Limit Hold’em event for $185,376 after cutting a deal with Luan ‘Pseduo Fruto’ Piekazewicz

The partypoker High Roller Club has ended, and Rok Gostisa is the champion.

The partypoker peeps hadn’t updated the leaderboard by the time I wrote this little chipped plate of a piece. Still, neither Artur Martirosian, Alex Foxen, Wiktor Malinowski or Ali Imsirovic did enough on the final day to over Gostisa at the top.

Martirosian did finish fifth in the $1k, and Foxen grabbed an eighth in the $530, but once Gostisa finished third in the $5k, there was only one wizard left standing in Emerald City.

The Slovenian picks up $30,000 for his ridiculous performances since the 7 June, proving that he is one of the top online poker multi-table tournament (MTT) crushers in the high stakes world, right now.

While Gostisa deserves most of the plaudits, we will save some for these folks.

Teun Mulder capped off an excellent personal performance in the High Roller Club by winning the $10k and finishing runner-up in the $1k. Pascal Lefrancois won the $5k, Niklas Astedt took down the $1k, and David Cowling won the $530 Turbo Knockout.

We will add the leaderboard results posthumously.

As the partypoker High Roller Club enters its final day, a Slovenian who is yet to see his name in diamond-studded headlines is the likeliest to win the orioles when all is said and done.

Rok Gostisa entered the penultimate day with a 210-point over Artur Martirosian and a 368-point lead over the one-time leader Alex Foxen. After cashing in three of the four games on Tuesday night, Gostisa’s lead is now 380 points.

Gostisa’s silky skills and close alliance to the Poker Gods saw him rise through Tuesday’s ranks like a virus, finishing fourth in the $5k, sixth in the $1k, and sixth in the $530. Martirosian, Foxen, Wiktor Malinowski and Ali Imsirovic all failed to gain any traction in the aesthetic realm of the High Roller leaderboard.

Jonathan Van Fleet was the biggest winner on the night, taking down the 31-entrant $5k event for $71,300. Vyacheslav Buldygin won the $2.5k for $33,750, Roberto Romanello won the $1k for $20,400.01, and Damian Zurek binked $10,576.08 for winning the $530 Knockout.

One night of action remains.

Another beguiling bonanza of a GGPoker report courtesy of having a few moments to spare as the Yerba Mate tea sits heavy in the strainer and Steve O’Dwyer had a better weekend than most.

O’Dwyer has distinguished gluttony when it comes to hogging live tournament wins, and he’s been transferred his jug of luck and skill to the online realm equally successfully in the past 12-months.

The American star picked up two impressive wins at GGPoker over the weekend. Both tournaments were $5k events, and both had field sizes that exceeded the usual intimate get together you typically see in the high stakes games online.

O’Dwyer conquered fields of 111 and 133 entrants to collect a combined haul of $259,226.12.

While the No-Limit Hold’em saw bumper fields, the Short-Deck didn’t. There were two on the weekend at the $10k price point, and Ihor Shkiliaruk won them both (although the fields were 4 and 6 respectively, and 50% of the buy-ins in the field of 6 were Skiliaruk’s)

Outside of the double winners, Wiktor Malinowski took down a $10k, and Joao Vieira and Mikita Badziakouski collected wins in $5k events.

As billions of people around the globe gathered in their churches to pray to God, high stakes online poker players assembled in the partypoker cathedral to pray to the Poker Gods.

As The High Roller Club enters its final stretch (it ends on Jul 16), Rok Gostisa is the favourite to pick up the extra $30,000 after another shift where his primary opponents felt nothing but the shaft.

Gostisa finished runner-up to Michael Addamo in the $25,500 Main Event, extending his lead over Artur Martirosian to 210 points, and 368 points further down the knitting needle than Alex Foxen.

The Slovenian won’t lose this based on a hiccup. The only way this goes down without the name of ‘Rok Gostisa’ engraved in the silverware is if Martirosian or Foxen can put in a tablecloth tugging performance on Tue and Thu night. Of the top five, only Ali Imsirovic picked up any points on Sunday, and the former Poker Masters winner is a long way back in the fifth position.

Other Sunday winners include Pascal Lefrancois picking up the win in the $10k. Laszlo Bujtas picking Fedor Holz apart after the pair agreed upon a deal in the final duel of the $5k, and a victory for Tuen Mulder in the $530.

Tuesday.

It’s not a day that punctuates the heart.

It’s no Saturday.

It’s no Sunday.

Except, it has become a day that high rollers look forward to thanks to partypoker and the High Roller Club.

This Tuesday, there was only one change in the top five spots on the High Roller Club Leaderboard, but it was a significant one.

Rok Gostisa now leads the race after taking down the 28-entrant, $2,600, $75k GTD event, beating Jans Arends in heads-up action. The Slovenian holds an 82-point lead over Alex Foxen after the American failed to make the money in successive High Roller Club nights of action.

Another player who continues to challenge at the top is Artur Martirosian. The Russian finished runner-up to Julius Schamberg in the $5k and finished eighth in the $530 game.

Schamberg had a sterling evening, winning both the $5k and $1k events. Thomas Muehloecker also faired well, finishing third in the $5k, $2.5k and the $530 game. Raul Martinez Gallego also had a fabulous night finishing second in the $1k and $530 games.

The High Roller Club ends on 16th July.

The ventilation around Alex Foxen’s airspace at the top of partypoker’s High Roller Leaderboard became a little frosty on Sunday night. The partypoker High Roller Leaderboard leader failed to feature in the final stages of any of the three games that took place on the day where God slipped a pipe into his mouth and donned those fluffy bunny rabbit slippers.

Foxen’s lack of partisanship with the in the money (ITM) finishes allowed Rok Gostisa to close the gap at the top after finishing sixth in the $10k, an event that Stephen Chidwick won for $176,000, the first sighting of the UK All-Time Money Leader at the top of a podium since lockdown.

Russia’s finest, Artur Martirosian, made things a little cramped in the top three after finishing third in the $25k, and fourth in the $530 event. Wiktor Malinowski sits in fourth after a fifth-place finish in the $10k, and after winning the $25k, Ali Imsirovic moves into fifth place.

Alex Foxen

If he keeps this up, we will be adding the words ‘Alex Fioxen’ into sentences containing the word ‘divination.’

Foxen won two more High Roller Club titles during Thursday night’s squabbles on partypoker. Included in his haul was the title in the $10k Main Event for $163,400, and the win in a $1k for another $20,000. Foxen also bubbled the $530, $25k GTD Mix-Max Turbo Knockout.

Rok Gostica started the day as the only other player to earn 1,000+ points on the High Roller leaderboard, and the best the Slovenian could do in response was a fourth-place finish in the $10k.

Sticking with the Top 5, and neither Timothy Adams nor Luke Reeves featured in the money (ITM) during Thursday night’s events, but Artur Martirosian did, finishing sixth in the $5k, and fourth and second in the two $1k games.

It was also a superb night for Roberto Romanello and Ali Imsirovic. Romanello finished runner-up to Foxen in the $10k and finished third in the $1k. Imsirovic came second to Wiktor Malinowski in the $5k and won the $1k. Malinowski continued his decent showing finishing third in the $10k.

Alex Foxen

partypoker’s High Roller Club continued unabated on Tuesday night, and once again the Global Poker Index (GPI) World #1, glued his perpetual perfection onto the results page.

Alex Foxen took down the 49-entrant $1,050, $50k GTD Mix-Max Warm-Up for $20,000, and finished runner-up to Andras Nemeth in the $1,050 6-Max Knockout.

Only one other player exceeds the 1,000 point mark on the leaderboard. Rok Gostisa finished fifth in the $1,050 Mix-Max, fourth in the $2,600 Mix-Max, and sixth in the $530 6-Max Turbo Knockout. The Slovenian trails Foxen by 39-points.

Breaking into the top five is Artur Martirosian, winning the 40-entrant $5,000, $200k GTD Main Event for $81,500, beating Rob Yong, heads-up. The Russian also featured on the final table of the $1,050 Mix-Mix, finishing third.

You won’t find the name of the man who leads partypoker’s High Roller Leaderboard in any of the soon-to-be reported results. Luckily, for Alex Foxen, none of his pursuers took full advantage of his absence.

Three of the top five did gain ground on Foxen on Sunday.

Rok Gostisa closed the gap at the top to ten points after finishing third in a $1k for $9,750, and Juan Pardo Dominguez and Timothy Adams also inched closer with a third and a fourth-place finish in the $10k Mix-Max. Luke Reeves, who rounds out the top five, didn’t feature in the money (ITM) in Sunday’s events.

Nick Petrangelo was one of the biggest winners on the day taking down the 31-entrant $25,500 Main Event for $356,500. Michael Addamo, Christoph Vogelsang and Jake Schindler also finished ITM with Adrian Mateos bubbling.

Other Sunday High Roller winners include Isaac Haxton, Joel Nystedt, Aleksejs Ponakovs, and Andrea Panarese.
