Alex Foxen

partypoker’s High Roller Club continued unabated on Tuesday night, and once again the Global Poker Index (GPI) World #1, glued his perpetual perfection onto the results page.

Alex Foxen took down the 49-entrant $1,050, $50k GTD Mix-Max Warm-Up for $20,000, and finished runner-up to Andras Nemeth in the $1,050 6-Max Knockout.

Only one other player exceeds the 1,000 point mark on the leaderboard. Rok Gostisa finished fifth in the $1,050 Mix-Max, fourth in the $2,600 Mix-Max, and sixth in the $530 6-Max Turbo Knockout. The Slovenian trails Foxen by 39-points.

Breaking into the top five is Artur Martirosian, winning the 40-entrant $5,000, $200k GTD Main Event for $81,500, beating Rob Yong, heads-up. The Russian also featured on the final table of the $1,050 Mix-Mix, finishing third.

If you’ve tuned into the Super High Roller Bowl Online (SHRBO) coverage, there’s a hangover coming.

It’s over.

Well, nearly.

The preliminary rounds are over, and going into the final day, it came down to a battle between a Swede and Russian for the $102,000 SHRBO seat.

Going into the final triumvirate of tournaments, Viktor Blom led the way, with Artur Martirosian in second place. If Blom could put in a better performance than Martirosian, then nothing the Russian could do would prevent the online legend from finishing on top of the podium.

It didn’t happen.

Blom failed to cash in any of the last three events.

In contrast, Martirosian put in another sterling performance, finishing runner-up to Linus Loeliger in the $25,500 No Limit Hold ’em event, and third and tenth in the final $10,300 No Limit Hold ’em events to generate an additional 351-points, sailing to the top of the leaderboard.

The Russian is one of the newest high rollers on the block, and it’s been quite the entrance, adding the $1.8m earned in the SHRBO preliminaries to the $1.3m accumulated during the Poker Masters Online Series a few weeks ago.

Martirosian will be one of the favourites competing in the $102,000 SHRBO, but who will join him?

Samuel Vousden crushed the 103-entrant field in Event #25: $10,300 No Limit Hold ’em. Vousden toppled the two-time SHRB winner, Timothy Adams, heads-up, to earn $252,350 – will he invest it in an SHRBO seat?

Linus Loeliger was the biggest earner of the Poker Masters Online Series ($1.5m), and he hasn’t done too poorly in this one. The Swiss star ended the series with $833,532 in gross profit, with $520,000 earned after he defeated Martirosian in the heads-up phase of Event #26: $25,500 No Limit Hold ’em – will he invest it in an SHRBO seat?

Finally, Michael Addamo overcame the 88-entrant field in Event #27: $10,300 No Limit Hold ’em to secure the $228,800 first prize after beating Mikita Badziakouski in heads-up action – will he invest it in an SHRBO seat?

The $102,000 SHRBO starts Tuesday 2 June, as does the final event Event #29: $10,300 No Limit Hold ’em.

The Super High Roller Bowl Online (SHRBO) continues to block out sunbeams as it cruises across the chaotic and choppy waters of partypoker. Three events dropped a few million bucks into bank accounts with the nonchalance of mother nature dropping a few withered leaves onto the ground.

Here they are.

The phenomena known as Adrian Mateos banked the most significant prize of the day. The Spaniard trounced a field of 61-entrants in Event #17: $25,500 No Limit Hold’em. His award of $527,509.70 is the third most magnificent of the series behind Justin Bonomo ($622,634), and Daniel Dvoress ($613,986.70). It was the second time Mateos had scrambled over the precipice of the in the money (ITM) strata finishing fifth in Event #14. Mateos got the better of Seth Davies, heads-up. Davies also finished third in Event #12 recently.

Artur Martirosian won Event #16 $10,300 No Limit Hold’em. The Russian star hammered 75-entrants to claim the $234,604.50 first prize, continuing a run of form that’s seen him win two Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) titles in May.

Linus Loeliger pulverised the 76-entrant field in Event #18: $10,300 No Limit Hold’em. The Swiss star earned $237,732.56 for the win, his first ITM finish of the series. Vicent Bosca Ramon finished second, and there was another Top 3 finish for David Peters, in third.

Here are the results.

Nine more events are yet to stumble over the horizon before the $102,000 SHRBO Main Events comes into view.

A month after GGPoker and the World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced their partnership through the $100m GTD WSOP Super Circuit Online Series, the gaff has turned out to be the home of high stakes multi-table tournament (MTT) action.

The series has held two $10,000 and four $5,000 events in the past three days, all No Limit Hold’em contests, and we’ve weaved together the results, below.

We’ll start with the 2 x $10,000 events, and Artur Martirosian twisted his roots deep in both games. The Russian Populas Alba took down a 69-entrant $10,000 event, beating ’20BigWhale20’ in heads-up action to secure the $184,065.16 first prize.

Martirosian also finished 3/54 in the second $10,000 event earning another $80,058.79, and finished 4/64 in a $5,000 event, so, all-in-all more beauty than ugliness for the man who won $1.28m gross profit during the Poker Masters Online Series.

Joao Vieira continues to impress in the precision perfect high stakes poker parties taking down the 54-entrant $10,000 event. The Portuguese star defeated Laurynas Levinskas in heads-up action to lock up the $181,463.63 first prize.

On the $5,000 front, there were wins for Jake Schindler, ‘AndyatTheBike’, Kristen Bicknell and Bot Marley. All four of these ‘Buffalo Soldiers’ found themselves repeatedly ‘Jammin’ in their ‘One Love.’

See what I did there.

As the Poker Masters Online Series moves into the end boss stage, Artur Martirosian leads after another sterling performance saw him finish third in Event #25: $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em.

The Russian has finished in the money (ITM) eight times during the series while banking $1.2m in gross earnings more than anyone else in the competition.

Martirosian finished behind Samuel ‘€urope€an’ Vousden in the $25,500 pecking order. It’s the Fin’s first cash of the series, and the most substantial of a career that has seen him earn more than $8.3m gross while taking down the Sunday Million, Spring and World Championships of Online Poker (SCOOP & WCOOP) titles.

Vousden is a coach on Patrick Leonard’s bitB Staking platform, and according to his roll call on the bitB website, he has collected $2.5m in profit during 20,000 online multi-table tournaments (MTTs) for an ROI of 86%.

Timothy Adams remains in third place on the Championship Leaderboard after cashing in both Event #25 & #26. Adams has etched up ten cashes, more than anyone else in the tournament.

Pascal Lefrancois has also thrown his chip protector into the ring adding a fourth and fifth a few events shy of picking up his second title of the series. Lefrancois becomes the second player after Martirosian to accumulate more than $1m in gross earnings.

There was also the seventh cash for Joni Jouhkimainen who has been the best performing partypoker ambassador of the series by far.

Here are the results.

There is a new face on top of the Poker Masters Online Championship Leaderboard, and it belongs to Artur Martirosian. As Russia’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases surpass China’s, Martirosian is dealing with it the only way he knows how – grinding.

Martirosian took the lead from Pauli Ayras after finishing runner-up to Dan Smith in Event #21: $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em. It’s the Russian’s sixth in the money (ITM) finish of the series, half of which have been Top 3 finishes. The only blot on Martirosian’s copybook is the absence of a win after finishing second on three separate occasions. Martirosian has also earned $940,540, second only to Ayras who failed to accumulate any points on Day 10 of the series.

Ayras falls to third in the Championship stakes after Alex Foxen cashed in Event #21 & #22 to move into second place.

Dan Smith Wins Event #21: $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em

Event #21 attracted 63-entrants and created a $1.5m prizepool.

No stranger to the winner’s circle, Dan Smith, picked up the win and $511,875, enough to move his online multi-table tournament (MTT) needle over the $3m mark.

Smith doesn’t play much online poker these days. A combination of living in Nevada and winning $36.7m the reasons for that. Still, in the good old days, Smith had his moments. While his most recent score ranks as a personal best, he has accrued six-figure scores on three occasions, most notably winning the PokerStars Sunday Million (2012) and a Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) title (2014).

Timothy Adams finished third for his eighth ITM finish, a record held jointly with Jorryt Van Hoof for a single event before the Dutchman went on to record his ninth cash in Event #22. Adams sits in fourth place overall as Van Hoof skulks around on the periphery of the Top 5.
